The Weinig Group, headquartered in Tauberbischofsheim, announced last Friday the closure of its production sites in Malterdingen and Alfeld. Machine manufacturing production in Germany will henceforth be concentrated at the company headquarters in Tauberbischofsheim and the Illertissen site. Sales, service, and engineering will remain at the Malterdingen and Alfeld locations. A total of approximately 400 jobs are expected to be affected by the structural changes, primarily in Germany.
