US President Donald Trump has lifted import tariffs on softwood pulp from the European Union, a move aimed at normalizing competitiveness in the pulp market. The 15% tariff on EU softwood pulp, which had previously affected unbleached, semi-bleached, and bleached pulp, was removed on 8 September. At the same time, a 10% tariff on Latin American hardwood pulp was also lifted.
