Tarkett Polska is set to close its Orzechów plant by the end of December 2025, consolidating its wood production operations in Serbia. This decision follows a comprehensive evaluation of the company's European wood division, which has faced declining demand since the COVID-19 pandemic, leading to underutilization of its facilities. Approximately 211 employees will be affected by the closure. Tarkett has initiated an outplacement program and is collaborating with other companies to facilitate job transitions for its staff.
