Swedish roundwood prices fall back at year-end

Sweden’s roundwood market ended 2025 with a clear downward adjustment, marking a cooling phase after the stronger gains recorded earlier in the year. Official statistics published on 24 February show that fourth-quarter averages declined across all major assortments compared with the third quarter, confirming softer momentum into year-end. Pine sawlogs fell 10.1 per cent quarter-on-quarter to 961 SEK per cubic metre solid volume excluding bark, equivalent to approximately €85.80 at an exchange rate of 1 EUR = 11.2 SEK.
