Sveaskog’s operating profit declined by 19% in the first quarter of 2026, reaching SEK 678 million (EUR 62 million), compared with SEK 839 million (EUR 77 million) a year earlier. The decrease was mainly due to lower wood prices. Average prices for deliveries from the company’s own forests also fell by 8% compared with the same period last year. CEO Erik Brandsma commented that despite structural changes in the forest industry and difficult market conditions, the company delivered a stable operating result for the quarter.
