The economic situation of Germany’s timber industry remains strained, with structural contraction continuing into 2025. From January to November, the number of companies with more than 50 employees fell by 3.4%, while total employment in these firms declined by 3.5%, according to an analysis by the German Timber Industry Federation (HDH), based on data from the Federal Statistical Office.
