Södra gets green light to expand Kindasågen sawmill

Swedish forest owners’ cooperative Södra is moving ahead with a major long-term investment at its Kindasågen pine sawmill in southern Sweden, following approval of a revised detailed development plan by Kinda Municipality that clears the way for expansion and modernisation of the site. The zoning decision, adopted in late 2025, applies to the sawmill area at Karleby, just outside Kisa, and removes a key planning constraint for further development.
