Roseburg Forest Products has closed its veneer plant in Weed, California, consolidating production at its Oregon facilities as part of a broader restructuring of the company’s wood-products operations. The shutdown took effect on December 3, 2025. The company has been investing in upgraded veneer and plywood equipment at its Riddle and Coquille mills in Oregon. Those sites, along with the Riddle engineered wood facility, will now handle the veneer output previously produced in Weed.
