The Wood Processors and Manufacturers Association (WPMA) said the New Zealand–India Comprehensive Free Trade Agreement will immediately eliminate tariffs on more than 95% of New Zealand wood products exported to India. WPMA chief executive Mark Ross said the agreement opens up a fast-growing market, noting that India is expected to become one of the world’s largest wood consumers.
