Norway’s log prices edged lower in the third quarter of 2025 but stayed well above last year’s levels, supported by firm demand for sawlogs even as the pulpwood sector weakened sharply. Average prices paid to forest owners reached 864 NOK per cubic metre (73 EUR/m³) in Q3, slightly below Q2 but still about 25% higher year-on-year, according to Statistics Norway.
