Limited buying interest keeps European hardwood prices in check

Hardwood log markets showed limited overall movement in February, with price developments varying by species, diameter class and region. Across Europe, purchasing behaviour remained cautious. Buyers continued to favour shorter contracts and specific assortments, while avoiding larger forward commitments. Supply remained available across most regions, but price support was largely limited to higher-quality logs. In Germany, oak log prices edged higher.
