Glennon Brothers acquires UK sawmiller Pontrilas Group

Glennon Brothers has completed the acquisition of the Hereford-based Pontrilas Group, adding around £120m in annual turnover to the business. Founded in 1947 by the Hickman family, Pontrilas Group is a timber processing company located close to the Welsh border. The business operates an integrated sawmill and packaging operation, with annual sawn softwood capacity estimated at approximately 200,000 cubic metres. Pontrilas is one of the UK’s largest independent sawmilling and timber packaging businesses.
