The German Timber Congress 2025, held in Munich from November 18–20, highlighted the widening gap between Germany’s large timber stock and the industry’s limited access to it. The event marked the 20th anniversary of the Bavarian State Forests and was organized together with the German Timber Industry Association (DeSH). For the first time, the congress ran over three days. Attendance reached new highs: 380 participants joined the main congress program, and around 460 attended the pre-congress reception hosted by DeSH and BaySF.
