Finnish timber prices decline in October 2025

Timber prices in Finland continued to fall in October 2025, with log and pulpwood markets under pressure from weak demand and reduced purchases from private forests. In standing sales, spruce logs averaged EUR 79.16 per cubic meter, down 2% from September, while pine logs fell 3% to EUR 76.09/m³. Birch logs decreased by 2% to EUR 63.41/m³. Compared to their peaks in June, pine logs have dropped by around EUR 8, spruce logs by EUR 7, and birch logs by EUR 6, reflecting a real-term decline of nearly 10% since the start of summer ...
