The production of sawmill companies in Finland rose to €8.8 million in January–September 2025, up 9 percent from the same period last year, the Finnish Sawmill Industry Association reported. Growth was strongest in the first quarter, when production increased 21 percent, but volumes have slowed in subsequent months. According to the European Sawmilling Industry Association, sawn timber production in Europe reached 78 million cubic meters last year and is expected to remain at similar levels this year and next.
