With the publication on 23 December of an amending regulation in the Official Journal of the European Union, the implementation of the EU Deforestation Regulation (EUDR) has been pushed back by a further year. Alongside the delay, the regulation introduces a series of changes to the obligations imposed on EU businesses trading in EUDR in-scope commodities, including timber, with requirements for small and micro-businesses significantly simplified.
