EU softwood lumber exports to the UK decline 23% in Q1 2026

EU softwood lumber exports to the United Kingdom fell sharply during the first quarter of 2026 as lower shipments from most major suppliers outweighed relatively resilient demand for Scandinavian lumber. According to Eurostat-based data, EU exports to the UK totalled 421,170 cbm in Q1 2026, down 23% from 546,213 cbm in the same period of 2025.
