The EU institutions have reached a political agreement on a targeted revision of the EU Deforestation Regulation (EUDR), preventing what many in the forest and wood sector feared would be an unmanageable administrative load across the entire supply chain. The application of the regulation will be postponed until 30 December 2026, with micro and small operators given until 30 June 2027.
