China’s log and softwood lumber imports turn positive in November

China’s timber imports recorded a clear rebound in November, with both volume and value rising month on month, according to data from China Customs. Total imports of logs and softwood lumber reached 4.707 million cubic metres, up 12.3% from October and 0.5% higher than a year earlier. Import value increased to US$914 million, rising 12.4% month on month and 1.9% year on year.
