Canfor has completed the sale of its shuttered sawmill operations in Fort St. John, British Columbia, to Alberta-based Rocky Mountain Salvage. The transaction includes the sawmill, planer, pellet plant and energy systems, according to local reports. Financial terms were not disclosed. The Fort St. John sawmill was announced for closure in September 2024, with the decision affecting around 220 jobs. Production at the site ended later that year.
