Austria: sawlog prices stable in March

Wood prices in Austria remained largely stable in March, with spruce and fir sawlogs holding firm across most regions, while fibrewood and energy wood markets continued to show relatively solid levels. Prices refer to transactions carried out between February and early March 2026. Spruce and fir sawlogs (Blochholz, class 2b) were traded mostly between €125 and €135/m³ across key regions such as Lower Austria, Upper Austria and Styria, with slightly higher levels of up to €136/m³ reported in Tyrol.
