Sveaskog has announced new timber price reductions in Sweden, citing uncertain market conditions despite continued demand from sawmills and pulp mills. The state-owned forestry group said softwood and hardwood pulpwood prices will be reduced by SEK 40/m3fub across the country. The new price levels are set at SEK 460/m3fub for softwood pulpwood and SEK 440/m3fub for hardwood pulpwood.
