Production cuts spread across Poland’s timber and furniture sector

More timber and furniture manufacturers in Poland are announcing production suspensions and mass layoffs. Industry representatives associated with the Polish Chamber of Commerce of Furniture Manufacturers have sent a letter to Prime Minister Donald Tusk and representatives of economic ministries, appealing for urgent support for the Polish furniture industry. Companies in this sector are being hit hard by high electricity and fuel costs, as well as rising prices for raw materials and components.
