Timber trade set to expand under New Zealand–India agreement

New Zealand and India have signed a free trade agreement aimed at expanding bilateral trade and improving market access, with immediate tariff reductions across most export categories, including forestry products. The New Zealand government said India is a key partner given its economic scale, regional influence, and growth trajectory.
