Algeria’s first continuous particleboard plant goes into operation

Algerian wood-based panel manufacturer Ghamoud marked the start of production on January 18 at its site in El Eulma, in the province of Sétif. The plant is equipped with a 13 m-long CPS+ continuous press designed for an annual capacity of 100,000 m³ of particleboard. Dieffenbacher, together with its Chinese subsidiary Shanghai Wood-based Panel Machinery (SWPM), developed the plant concept for Ghamoud and supplied the full production line, from flaking and drying to the gluing system, forming station, raw board handling and sanding. “Dieffenbacher designed our new plant for a smaller capacity ...
