New sawmill plans in Switzerland abandoned

Swiss companies Kuratle Group and Raurica Wald AG have abandoned plans to develop the Swiss Timber Production (STP) project, halting a proposed softwood sawmill and processing complex in Perlen near Lucerne. The STP project had been conceived as a large-scale industrial investment aimed at expanding domestic wood processing capacity and strengthening value creation along Switzerland’s timber construction chain.
