Komatsu Forest has agreed to acquire Swedish manufacturer Malwa Forest, a producer of small-scale forestry machines, as demand shifts towards lighter equipment suited to more sustainable forest management. The transaction, announced this week, is expected to be completed by April 1, subject to customary conditions. Financial details were not disclosed.
