IKEA installs thin-board line in Poland

IKEA Industry has installed a thin-board production line at its furniture plant in Zbąszynek, western Poland, expanding internal capacity for the manufacture of lightweight wood-based panels used in furniture components. The new facility is designed to produce thin particleboard elements used in furniture structures. Such panels allow manufacturers to reduce material use and product weight while maintaining structural strength—an increasingly common approach in mass-produced furniture. Zbąszynek is one of the larger production sites within IKEA Industry’s European manufacturing network.
