Norwegian log prices ease as sawmills struggle with high raw-material costs

Log prices in Norway continued to decline in February, extending the gradual downward movement that began in the second half of 2025 after reaching exceptionally high levels in the previous market cycle. Prices for spruce sawlogs, the main raw material for the Norwegian sawmilling industry, fell by around 1–2% compared with January.
