Korkeakoski sawmill acquisition lifts Versowood capacity close to 2m m³

Finland’s Versowood has expanded its sawmilling operations with the acquisition of the Korkeakoski sawmill from UPM, bringing the facility back under the ownership of the Kopra family nearly four decades after it was first sold. The transaction, approved by competition authorities and completed on the final day of 2025, makes Korkeakoski the sixth sawmill in the Versowood group and lifts the company’s total sawn lumber production capacity to close to 2 million cubic metres annually.
