Brazilian timber and plywood exporters are now operating under a clearer U.S. tariff framework following a formal adjustment in trade policy. Effective February 24, 2026, at 12:01 a.m. ET, U.S. Customs and Border Protection implemented a temporary 10% ad valorem import surcharge under Section 122 of the Trade Act of 1974.
