Swedish forest products group Svenska Cellulosa Aktiebolaget (SCA) has decided to reduce production volumes of spruce lumber at two of its Swedish sawmills as part of a response to the current market and cost environment ahead of 2026. The company has announced workforce warnings (varsel) affecting a total of 21 employees at its sawmills in Rundvik in Nordmalings kommun and Tunadal in Sundsvall. Of these, 14 positions at Rundvik and seven at Tunadal are linked to planned production cuts primarily in operations focused on spruce products.
