European Union softwood lumber exports to the United States expanded sharply in 2025, strengthening Europe’s position in the American construction supply chain. Total shipments reached 4,607,394 m³, up 32% from 3,483,036 m³ in 2024. In value terms, exports rose even faster, climbing 47% to €1.30 billion, compared with €883 million the previous year. The stronger growth in value relative to volume indicates a firming price environment.
