Swedish forest owners’ association Mellanskog will reduce wood procurement prices across several assortments from February 11, citing continued market weakness and lower demand. The price adjustments apply to new contracts and cover pulpwood, sawlogs, fuelwood and logging residues. The base price for pine sawlogs will be reduced by SEK 80/m³fub (€6.96/m³fub), while spruce sawlogs will decrease by SEK 30/m³fub (€2.61/m³fub).
