Threat of an imminent shutdown of Fibre Excellence’s pulp mills in France

The Fibre Excellence Group is facing the threat of an imminent shutdown of its pulp mills in Tarascon and Saint-Gaudens. Together, these two sites represent the last remaining market pulp production capacity in France. In addition to pulp, the company also produces renewable electricity by recovering energy from biomass residues generated during the production process. The two mills are located in southern France, in the regions of Provence-Alpes-Cote d'Azur and Occitanie.
