West Fraser Timber Co. Ltd. announced that it will indefinitely curtail operations at its oriented strand board (OSB) mill in High Level, Alberta in the spring of 2026, following an orderly wind-down and use of the mill’s remaining log inventory. The decision reflects a significant decline in OSB demand and will reduce West Fraser’s production capacity by 860 million square feet (3/8-inch basis).
