Sentiment in Germany’s wood industry softened slightly in October 2025, following a notable upswing in the previous month, according to the latest business indicator published by HDH, Main Association of the German Wood Industry (Hauptverband der Deutschen Holzindustrie). Companies were less satisfied with their current business situation, although expectations for the next six months improved. Because the various industry segments are affected differently, overall sentiment remains uneven.
