Wood prices are falling in Sweden. Mellanskog, the association of forest owners in central Sweden, announced it will lower prices for log prices, pulpwood, and energy wood due to a weak market situation. The price of spruce logs will drop by 50 kronor (4.5 euros) per cubic metre, while pine logs fall by 80 kronor (7.3 euros). Depending on the region and quality, spruce logs will now cost 645–1,195 kronor (58–108 euros) per cubic metre, and pine logs 645–1,045 kronor (58–95 euros).
