Sawmill in Sweden to close, citing “incredibly difficult” conditions

After more than 100 years of operation, Bergkvist Siljan has announced the closure of its sawmill in Mora. Thirty-five employees have been given notice, though the final number of layoffs is likely lower, as around 15–20 positions may be reassigned to other sawmills within the group. Certain operations in Mora, including forestry activities, will continue.
