Stora Enso may exit Central European wood product business, strategic review underway

Stora Enso announced on Thursday that it is initiating a strategic review of its Central European sawmills and building solutions operations, including the possibility of divesting these parts of the business. The review, scheduled for 2026, covers one business unit of the Wood Products segment, which includes: -Seven sawmills located in Austria, Czechia, Poland, and Lithuania. -Three cross-laminated timber (CLT) mills and associated further processing units. -Wood procurement, international sales, and distribution operations. Collectively, these facilities have a production capacity of around 3 million cubic metres annually and account for roughly 50% of the ...
