Koskisen fell into the red, but profitability improved in sawmilling

Koskisen’s operating revenue rose by almost a quarter to EUR 83.8 million in July–September, but the company slipped into an operating loss. The result for the period was –1 million euros, compared with a EUR 0.4 million operating profit in the same quarter last year. According to CEO Jukka Pahta, the third quarter is typically weaker in terms of profitability due to summer holidays in key markets and scheduled maintenance shutdowns. The company’s sawmilling segment performed better than a year earlier.
