Tough markets and tariffs drive Metsä Group to Q3 loss

Metsä Group’s results fell into a loss in the third quarter of 2025. The company posted a comparable operating loss of EUR 72 million, down from a profit of EUR 113 million a year earlier. For January–September, Metsä Group’s net sales reached EUR 4.5 billion, slightly higher than the same period last year, while comparable operating profit was EUR 27 million in loss, compared with EUR 170 million in profit a year earlier.
