UK will promote domestic structural timber in the C16 class

UK sawmills, with government support, are launching a national campaign to promote the use of domestic structural timber in the construction sector. The initiative seeks to educate architects and contractors about using C16 grade timber instead of C24. The UK’s structural timber market, estimated at over £11 billion annually, remains heavily dependent on imports.
