Swedish forest owners’ cooperative Södra has agreed to sell its forest assets in Latvia and Estonia to Ingka Investments, the investment arm of Ingka Group, IKEA's parent company. The transaction, valued at €720 million, includes around 153,000 hectares of land, of which approximately 89% is forestland. The completion of the deal is subject to approval by competition authorities in both countries, as well as a foreign investment permit in Latvia.
