European Commission raises anti-dumping duties on Chinese plywood to nearly 90%

The European Commission has decided to significantly increase anti-dumping duties on Chinese hardwood plywood, describing the scale of dumping as unprecedented. The move represents a major step toward strengthening protection for the European market. Under the new regulation, the duty on plywood produced by Pizhou Jiangshan Wood Co. Ltd. will rise from 25.1% (provisional) to 43.2%, while duties for all other Chinese producers will increase from 62.4% (provisional) to 86.8%, bringing the overall rate close to 90%.
