Metsä Wood will start test runs in October at its new laminated veneer lumber (LVL) mill in Äänekoski, Finland, with full production scheduled for the end of 2026. The site will include two production lines and a research and development laboratory for veneer-based wood products. The mill covers a total area of 50,000 m², including a 45,000 m² production space. Annual output is expected to reach 160,000 m³, and around 150 jobs will be created once the facility is fully operational.
