Irish storm-damaged wood remains overpriced despite surplus supply

Storm-felled timber in Ireland is still trading at prices too high for most European buyers, even as millions of cubic metres of damaged wood lie unharvested across the country. Sitka spruce sawlogs and pallet wood from Irish ports are offered at €95 to €120 per cubic metre, according to market sources.
