Swedish sawmiller Vida has become the third-largest softwood producer in Europe, following the acquisition of three sawmills previously operated by AB Karl Hedin. The transaction adds an estimated 550,000 m³ of annual capacity, bringing Vida’s total output to over 3 million m³ per year. The updated ranking reflects a broader trend of consolidation among Europe’s major softwood producers.
