Metsä Fibre's change negotiations regarding possible layoffs in Joutseno and Rauma have ended. The company says in its press release that the Joutseno and Rauma pulp mills in Lappeenranta and the Rauma sawmill can, if necessary, implement layoffs for the entire staff starting in July and by the end of December. The duration of layoffs is a maximum of 90 days. The negotiations included the entire personnel of the production plants, a total of approximately 465 people.
