Conifex returns to profit in Q1 2025 as lumber shipments rebound

Conifex Timber Inc. reported a net profit of C$0.6 million in the first quarter of 2025, rebounding from a C$7.8 million loss in the previous quarter, as higher lumber production and firmer prices boosted earnings. The Canadian lumber producer said it generated earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortization (EBITDA) of C$4.9 million, compared with a negative EBITDA of C$2.1 million in Q4 2024 and a loss of C$0.5 million a year earlier. Lumber revenues rose 47% quarter-on-quarter to C$31.3 million, as Conifex ramped ...
